Born and raised in South Africa, I moved to the UK about twenty years ago. For someone who really likes warm weather, I seem to be moving further north and I’m currently settled in Glasgow, Scotland, home to some of the most stunning scenery in the UK.

I want to produce art that places you in the moment of the painting - the moment a ghost ship drifts to the shore in front of you, the moment dusk settles down and the swamp turns the colour of a dusty amethyst, the shock of the giant wave cresting in front of you.

If I can make someone feel something in the instant they look at a piece of my art, then I’ve done my job.
